Sous Chef

Our Executive Chef Julles has over 20 years of fine dining experience and is also a trained Pastry Chef.

We have an immediate opening for an experienced Sous Chef. The Sous Chef will assist the Executive Chef in directing and supervising all aspects of day to day operations in the kitchen. Applicant must be and experienced, high-energy, dependable, organized and be able to successfully manage a group of workers. He/she must have at least 4 years’ experience in a fine-dining restaurant setting as a sous chef.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Exec. Chef and understand her vision and execute plan effectively and efficiently
  • Direct and maintain high-quality kitchen operations on a daily basis
  • Ensure every guest receives outstanding food in a timely manner
  • Supervision of all food preparation activities
  • Hiring, training, coaching, and scheduling of all BOH staff
  • Control Food and Labor cost
  • Food Safety - monitors food handling and preparation according to health code
  • Keeps a clean and sanitary kitchen on a daily basis

Requirements:

  • At least 4 years of work experience as a Sous Chef
  • Have the skills and mental toughness to work directly with the Executive Chef
  • Skillful, Honest, Respectful
  • Must have reliable transportation
